An unexpected journey from castle to castle.

The elevation gain is probably well over a thousand meters. Check the ups and downs.

This one is not a loop.

For the outbound trip, you need to take a train to Ettelbruck and from there a bus to Vianden.

For the return trip, the replacement bus from Michelau to Ettelbruck and a train from there.

Alternatively, you can leave your car in Ettelbruck.
