Saarburg – Oberbillig (26 km hike)

A pilgrimage from the picturesque town of Saarburg to Oberbillig.
Harder than average, make sure you check the 2D and 3D elevation profiles.
This one is not a loop.
To get to Saarburg on a Saturday you can take a train from Luxembourg (via Trier). Check the attached screenshot. The sooner your book, the cheaper.
To go back to Luxembourg we will either take the ferry from Oberbillig to Wasserbillig and then the train or, if there is no ferry, the bus to Grevenmacher and then another bus.
The ferry costs €1, make sure to bring the exact amount.
As usual, in Germany cash is king.
We meet at Saarburg train station by 10:55.
