Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park (17 km hike around Börfink)

The Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park is a national park located in the Hunsrück region of Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland in Germany. The Park was established in March 2015 and is the country’s newest national park, as well as the only one located in either of the two Bundesländer. The Park protects roughly 10,000 hectares of upland forests and fields.

We will visit the archaeological site of Vorkastell and the wetlands of Ochsenbruch and will climb the Ruppelstein (763 m). It is an easy hike as the lowest point is at 500 m. You can check the ups and downs (download the HTML file). The carpool link will be provided to those registered.
