Hic Sunt Dracones: Stolzembourg (22 km hike)

Determined to making the Our river our river, we will be exploring the forests north of Stolzemberg, both sides of the border.

The second in a series of hikes under the epigraph Hic Sunt Dracones (here be dragons). These are not your typical auto-pedestrians or Mullerthal trail. These are ignote places. Areas where nobody before has set foot into and come out alive to tell the story.

People keep asking me questions I have no answers for. What kind of fauna are we going to find? What flora? Are natives hostile? Is the atmosphere in such places even breathable for humans? I do not know. Few, if any, do. We will have to find out.

But, then, hey, if you have let yourself be used as a Guinea pig over recent months, I am guessing you must be fearless. Then you have nothing to worry about. These adventures could not possibly be more dangerous than that. Or could they…?
