Castles around Mettlach : Montclair and Saareck (20 km hike)

This Saturday we will be visiting the surroundings of the nearby German town of Mettlach, in Saarland.
Our little promenade will lead us to such emblematic places as the Alter Turm or the castles of Saareck and Montclair, the latter being located within the Saarschleife, arguably the main tourist attraction in the region.
We can meet at Mettlach’s train station, which connects the town with Trier and other cities in Germany.
