Christmas Market in Strasbourg (16 km urban promenade)

Strasbourg prides itself for being the Christmas capital of Europe. Indeed, first held in 1570, its Christkindelsmärik (Christmas market), is the oldest and probably the most impressive within the current borders of France.

We will initiate our, completely flat, urban promenade in front of the Cathedral at 11:30 to then visit la Petite France, berges de l’Ill, parc de la Citadelle, parc de l’Orangerie, parc du Contades and place Kleber.

Just a little taste of what this beautiful and vibrant city has to offer. This should leave us ample time to visit the Christmas market and even have a taste of a flammekueche or a sauerkraut.

This one is not about walking but about discovery and exploration and therefore the ending time is merely illustrative.

If you come by car, I would advise you to use one of the P+R and take the tram from there.
